Shout-out to Bertha Delgadillo for her amazing hexagonal thinking integration. You can use it for so much, but I used it for special person interviews. I interviewed the student, then the observers wrote their own answers in the hexagon. Afterwards, students were put into groups and had to make connections with their group members. Meet your instructor! I'm Bertha!

I am originally from Tampico, Tamaulipas, México, but I currently teach Spanish II, III & AP Spanish & Culture in Savannah, Georgia. Though I obtained my teaching certificate in 2006, due to my immigration status at the time, I wasn't able to practice until 2013 when DACA was signed into an executive order.

At present, I am proudly a National Board Certified Teacher since 2021. In particular, I enjoy leading my students to become lifetime language learners by equipping them with the necessary tools to take ownership of their proficiency journey. I also like to fuel my students' interests by facilitating highly effective & engaging language experiences. In March of 2023, I was humbled to have been selected as Georgia's World Language Teacher of the Year by FLAG.

I am currently in my first year pursuing a Doctorate of Education in Education Innovation with a concentration on Secondary Spanish Education.
